The distance from Bangkok to Kanchanaburi is 129 Kilometers,
it takes only about 2 hours by car. The province is fulled
of waterfalls and abundant western forests, and the city
it self, too, is fulled of tourist attractions; the railway
of the death on the Kwae river, the alliance soldier cemeteries,
war museums, and fafting from SongKwae rd., for example.

Saiyok is one of the eminent districts travelers often
visit for a long time. Amphoe Saiyok adjoins Amphoe Muang,
so it is really easy and convenient to reach. The most
popular activities here are rafting downstream the Kwae
River, and strolling to the Saiyok waterfall. Moreover,
there are also Muang Sing ancient temples that on really

Amphoe Si Sawat is one of the famous districts in Kanchanaburi.
Its reputation derives from the extensive and long stretched
Si Nakharin Dam. The dam soes not only serve as diet and
electricity source, but also as a tourist attraction.

Thong Phapume is always famous for its natural tourist mountains,
this single district fosters 5 national park; Thong Phapume,
National Park, Khao Laem National Park, Saiyok National
Park LamKlong Ngu National Park, and Si Nakharin National
Park. Also it is the very district that enriches the abundant
forests and originates many of the main rivers of Thailand.

This border district is comprised of three different cultural
backgrounds and nationalities; Thai, Mon, and Kareang.
Mon is mainly from Burma, while Kareang is one of the
hill tribes in Thailand. However, the three groups of
people live in harmony here. The name sangkhlaburi actually
means the place where different cultures and beliefs mix
